Meet Dr. Tori

The newest member of the Countryside Equine veterinarian team, Dr. Tori Martin is excited to return south to serve the horses in her home state of Georgia. Her love for horses began at the ripe age of 6-years-old when she began riding as a hobby. While she has yet to own a horse of own, the passion she had for the species and sport landed her a spot in her first job working for the horse farm where she rode.

Her academic adventures took her first to Clemson University for undergrad where she was on the rowing team and animal sciences and set on a path to veterinary medicine. From there, she made her way to the midwestern US where she completed her DVM through the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Here she expanded her knowledge of and passion for equine medicine, and, more specifically, equine surgery.

Important Information

In the event of an equine emergency, any patient located more than 45 minutes from our clinic must be hauled to our hospital in Covington, GA. This policy helps us ensure that every patient receives timely and appropriate care.

Because of the inherent limitations of farm-call appointments, the attending veterinarian may recommend for the patient to be hauled to the clinic for further evaluation or treatment. Because farm-call appointments have limited equipment and are not a sterile environment, the doctor may require that your horse be hauled in for further evaluation or treatment.
